かつて数多くの移民が渡ったことから、日本とも非常に関係の深いペルー共和国の大使館です。当初は南米の植物をイメージした植栽プランを行っていましたが、最終的に和の香り漂う庭となりました。蹲いにペルーの民家で粉を挽く丸石を用いるなど、随所にペルーの自然や文化を意識したデザインも取り入れています。

This is the embassy of the Republic of Peru, a country with which Japan has a strong relationship due to the number of Japanese migrants in past years. The original plan for this garden was drafted based on the fauna of South America, but the final design eventually ended up being a Japanese style garden. With Peru in mind, natural and cultural pieces have been incorporated into the design. For example, a Peruvian cobblestone is placed in the main garden as a washbasin (tsukubai).
